AND: Architecture & Design is an architectural design practice focused on the connections of people and places and the potential for elaborating ideas through the design process.

The company was started in August 2004 by firm principle and owner David A. D’Amore, AIA. David brings 7 years of education culminating in a Master of Architecture degree from the University at Buffalo and 12 years of professional practice in the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic States. He is licensed in New York and Pennsylvania and is NCARB certified.

The basic philosophy is simple, do good work, exceed expectations, speak directly and build trust. We will provide as comprehensive a service as possible, but will scale it to the client’s specific needs. AND: will bring a teaming approach to all its projects, so if the expertise is not in-house, we will find the right team member for the job. If we do not know the answer, we’ll admit it and then go find the answer.

AND: will maintain an open and diverse project catalogue as it is our belief that diverse experience develops depth and breadth in our skills and leaves the door open for insight, innovation and vision. Lastly, we will strive to participate in the growth and development of our communities and make them better as a collection of people and places.
