The original school building was no longer adequate to meet the basic educational needs of the children it served. Built in the 1960’s, its physical condition was in disrepair and in need of significant improvement. The program for this structure was a series of additions and renovations that would gut the building and would add significant educational space. The construction work was phased over the course of two full academic years with the building fully occupied. The result was a rejuvenated staff and student body that discovered the pride in place that had been missing.
