Much of the world is built under the pretense of “normal” human interactions and behavior. When you look at the world though, what you see are barriers. In our modern, technology rich society our structures are capable of being fully inclusive and available to all people. The goal of Universal Design is to remove the stigma of handicap accessibility and elevate architecture and the environment to be truly open to all that use it, visually and spatially inclusive and aesthetically coherent.
