Architects serving Saratoga Springs, Johnstown and the Adirondacks of NY since 2004

Pleasant View

Lake Pleasant, NY

Completed November 2011

On the north shore of Lake Pleasant in the heart of the Adirondack Mountains is this awesome second home rendered in the melded spirit of the Adirondack and Craftsman styles. Designed and built as a home away from home for extended family and friends for all seasons of the year.

Pecks Lake Addition & Renovation

Pecks Lake, NY

Completed May 2012

Working with a very tight budget, we designed this addition and renovation to better organize the internal space for larger family gatherings without adding to the footprint of the original house. A second floor addition limiting problems with the site and a simple palette of finishes allowed the clients vision to sing.

Back to Bungalow

Tribes Hill, NY

Completed May 2010

This small, unassuming bungalow was too cramped and disfunctional for our client couple. A partial first floor and second floor addition opened up the space and connected the second floor to the first floor. With more space and natural light this is now one bodacious bungalow.

Carriage House Conversion

Gloversville, NY

Completed November 2011

The second floor of this carriage house has been repurposed into a single bedroom in-law apartment. The open roof structure allowed for a unique sloped ceiling sculpted by light. The overall affect is warm, intimate and private.

Fourth Ave Fit

Johnstown, NY

Completed 2008

This house started life as a single story ranch, too small for our growing family client. So we planned a second story addition that added 4 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms and a laundry room upstairs. Downstairs we created an open plan living room/kitchen combo that is the center of the family's life. The first floor was opened to the second floor allowing a featured catwalk within the two story central tower. Simple, perfect fit.

Indian Ladder Trail

Altamont, NY

Completed 2007

Nestled at the foot of a nature park, this house became a retirement home for a couple desiring plenty of space to enjoy house and family. The garage was converted into a large family room open to a new kitchen. A new addition created a first floor master suite. The client desired lots of light and views to the surrounding nature. The changes are perfect for large family gatherings and making memories.

Kensington Place

Johnstown, NY

Completed, August 2011

Reclamation of a former industrial site resulted in a six unit (three duplex) residential development in the city. The one story units are designed for easing into retirement with an accessible open plan. As an urban infill project it keeps people in the community and knits the torn fabric back together.
